Video of the First Nsoko Payday

Thursday Ellie and I went back down to Nsoko to see how the ladies there are doing. We traveled on lots of little dirt roads to 6 of the 8 feeding centers to see the ladies. The women have made over 60 of the table runners they learned how to make during our time down there in Sept, and Thursday was their first pay day. It wasn’t a big payday, but it was exciting to see them receive their pay envelope and talk about the possibility for growth in the coming months. Now there are about 90 families receiving an income from Timbali Crafts. WOW.
Here is a little video clip of Nelisiwe dancing after receiving her pay. It was a fun day! Praise the Lord for His provision and blessings. After you’re done watching the video you should get up and do your own “Praise the Lord” dance. 🙂 I’m sure Nelisiwe wouldn’t mind a bit if you copy her “moves.” 🙂

  2. Julie,
That video brightened my day!! Thanks for sharing it. I love seeing the women dance and hearing them sing. That is one of the things I miss the most when we are not in Swaziland. Thanks for all you do. You are in our prayers.

  3. Thank you for the video! I just had the remarkable joy of serving at a table at an orphan care conference. My job was to tell people about Timbali and sell their bags. Please let the women know that much prayer is going up in each of their names. I have the tags from my two bags attached to my computer screen so that every time I sit down at it, I remember to pray for Lungile and Mcobile.

May He richly bless you and the women with joy! And little Ellie, too!

  4. Great video!!! We’re amazed and excited about what’s happening with Timbali Crafts. It’s heart warming to see the women so happy and we love hearing you laugh in the background.

Love and prayers for you and Ellie and all the women who work so faithfully to sew such beautifully crafted items.

  5. Yipee for God and Yipee for Julie!! And a big Yipee for Ellie too! This was awesome to see-thank you sisi.
