Hi everyone…
Ellie and I are blessed to be part of a great missionary community in Swaziland…Southern Baptists, Assemblies of God, and everything else between. We usually get together on Saturday nights for a potluck meal, worship and Bible study, but this past Saturday night we had a “Harvest Party” for the kids. Ellie was a “hula girl” and she was CUTE! The pictures don’t even begin to do her cute-
ness justice. ๐
I also wanted to post a picture of the house we moved into in August. We continue to enjoy getting settled. It’s very pink, which isn’t my color of choice, but since getting Ellie I seem to be surrounded by it anyway, so why not a whole house! ๐ That grey concrete thing in the front yard is a “braai” or what we’d call a barbeque pit. A braai is an essential element to any good party in this part of the world…so we’re glad to have one.
A little follow up to my last posting…
It’s been great to see some of our prayers for the women answered. The woman who was feeling forced to sleep with the father of her child in order to get money for food told me that her boyfriend has left, and that at least for the time beging things seem to be okay. It’s a huge answer to prayer that God just seemed to remove him from the picture. Please continue to pray for provision for this woman and her young child.
The woman whose husband had decided to become a witch doctor said that things at home have improved. I need to have another conversation with her to see where things are really at, but she gave me the most peacful smile and said, “Aye Julie, things are so much better.” So I’m hopeful that she’s seeing God at work in her circumstances.
We’re working on getting the women’s bags to the US for Christmas sales. We have orders for close to 500 bags…so they are working hard to get them finished.
Ellie and I are in South Africa now for a few days to pick up our friend Katy at the airport Thursday morning. In the mean time we are enjoying hanging out with “Aunt Jacci” and doing a little shopping.
That’s all the news for today!
Julie,
Love the hula pic of Ellie! I can just imagine her dancing and the little green stuff swaying in time with her! ๐
Please say hello to “Aunt Jacci” for me!
Miss you, so consider yourself hugged (Ellie, too…and one for Jacci thrown in as well!) from across the waters!
Love and blessings,
Sue

Julie and Ellie,
What a cute little hula girl! That’s our granddaughter!
The house looks great, too.
Great to hear that prayers are being answered for your ladies!
